MOMBASA FULL DAY CITY TOUR; FORT JESUS-OLD TOWN-MARIKITI MARKET-ELEPHANT TUSKS-HALLER PARK

  Begin the day trip with pick-up from your hotel in Mombasa/Diani at around 8 a.m. Drive through the city center towards the historical old town of Kibokoni where you will find the famous Fort Jesus Museum. Find out how this building was designed by the Italian architect Giovanni Battista and was built between 1593 and 1596 by the order of King Philip of Portugal to guard the old port of Mombasa. Learn about Mombasa and how it evolved. After that, pass-by the Mombasa Club, Africa Hotel, Mandhry Mosque, and Government Square, entering the Old Port and continuing towards the Old Spice Market.   PROGRAMME You will be picked from your hotel at around 7.30 am and drive to Mombasa Marine park. Visit the Mombasa Marine National Park for an unforgettable safe ocean adventure. (Gazetted in 1986, the park has a protected area of 210 sq. km) Sunbathe on the pristine beaches, enjoy scuba diving and snorkeling. View sea cucumbers, jellyfish, crabs and various varieties of coral species. An assortment of seabirds in huge nesting colonies will catch your eye.
